Neuropathy Care in Omaha

Person with foot neuropathyWhen you’re dealing with numbness, tingling, burning, or sharp pain in your hands or feet, life can start to feel smaller—walking feels unsteady, sleep gets disrupted, and everyday tasks take more effort than they should.

At Millard Family Chiropractic & Wellness, we take neuropathy seriously because we see how much it can affect confidence, independence, and quality of life. Our goal is to help you understand what’s going on, then guide you through supportive care that focuses on helping your nerves function more effectively—without making you feel rushed, dismissed, or “stuck with it.”

Understanding Neuropathy And
Why Symptoms Happen

Neuropathy most often affects the hands and feet. Common signs include numbness or “pins and needles,” sharp or burning discomfort, swelling or temperature changes, and balance issues that can lead to stumbling or falls.

Neuropathy can be linked to diabetes, surgery, chemotherapy, or sometimes no clear cause. In simple terms, it involves nerve damage that affects how well nerves communicate with the brain. Over time, this may also impact circulation to the area, meaning nerves receive less oxygen and support.

A Different Approach Than “Just Managing Pain”

Traditional care often focuses on reducing discomfort, commonly through medication. Our approach looks more broadly at supporting the environment your nerves rely on. Care may focus on improving circulation and oxygen delivery, supporting healthy lymphatic flow, strengthening nerves nutritionally, and helping re-educate nerve communication with the brain.

Everything is designed to be structured and personalised, so you feel informed and supported at each step.

What To Expect As A New Patient

Your first visit begins with an education video, followed by a conversation with the doctor about your symptoms, goals, and daily activities. You’ll then complete an examination to help determine the severity of your neuropathy.

At your next visit, you’ll meet with the doctor again to review results and discuss a recommended care plan going forward—if you qualify for the type of neuropathy support we provide.

If You’ve Been Told “There’s Nothing That Can Be Done”

We hear this often. If you’re looking for a team in Omaha that will take the time to listen, explain your options, and support you with a plan that doesn’t rely on surgery or simply masking symptoms, we’re here for you.
